Junior Church starts at 11:00am each Sunday morning. It is held in the Fellowship Hall. Junior Church is a structured learning experience that helps our young children make the transition from Nursery to the main church service. Children from 4 years old through 3rd grade are welcome.
Sunday evening at 6:00pm, our children's program includes the Patch Club for elementary-aged children, grades 1 - 6, during the school year. Patch Club is based on the Word of God and godly character-building music. The program includes Bible Impact lessons, sailor devotions, Scripture memory exercises, Bible activities, music lessons, godly character stories, and songs that teach godly-character truths.
The PeeWee Club is also a part of our Sunday evening children's program at 6:00pm. The PeeWee Club is designed for children ages 4 - 5 (6) and runs parallel to the school year. The children learn simple Bible songs, Bible verses and stories geared to their age. The PeeWee Sailor Log is filled with art projects and activities to reinforce the lesson of the week.
The first Saturday of each month, we host morning church service for our seniors and shut-in at the Tallassee Health & Rehabilitation. We gather in the dining hall about 9:30am to help wheelchair bound folks to and from their rooms. Join us for loving fellowship and service to the LORD.
Our Ladies' Missionary Circle meets at Billie Jordan's at 1:30pm. All ladies' of Westside are welcome. Mrs. Billie starts the meeting with our Prayer Request list followed by the Treasurer's financial report. A program is provided by one of the members then refreshments provided by Mrs. Billie.
Second Monday of each month, we host a Craft Activity Day for our seniors and shut-ins at the Tallassee Health & Rehabilitation. We provide wooden crafts for painting along with other activities for about 25 seniors. We start setting up at 1:30pm in the dining room then breakdown at 3:00pm. In addition to craft activities, we provide refreshments of cake, soda, & chips.
Help us support the Association of Christians in Tallassee for Service (ACTS). ACTS provides support to the folks in Tallassee and the surrounding area with food, clothing, and utility assistance while sharing the love of Jesus Christ. Westside helps collect much needed food items. ACTS distributes food by weight; therefore, it is important to bring small boxes or cans of food.
Bring small boxes of cereal and small boxes of sugar. Donations are collected every 3rd Sunday.
Sun Rise Service starts at 6:00am on Easter morning. We will have potluck breakfast right after the service. Church will provide the eggs and bacon - we will bring breakfast foods.
Men's Brotherhood Breakfast will join the whole Church for breakfast right after our Sun Rise Service which starts at 6:00am
Young at Heart will travel to a nearby cafe to enjoy lunch and good fellowship. We will be taking the Church Bus for this trip so meet at the Fellowship Hall by 10:00am.
